I cant get the premaxx baby sling to work. ideas please? - premaxx baby bag

I bought the kangaroo Premaxx and can not get the hang of. The very deep pocket seams and stitching, my baby's head covered. in all the pictures you can see, the baby is well positioned and comfortable, but not by me. Can anyone tell me if you have this problem or am I just stupid? Thanks
